Hello,
Amid record financings, asset rotations and strategic partnerships, this week’s 26 deals point to a healthy, growing clean-energy market in Europe.
The top stories:
- New BESS benchmark? Fidra Energy secured £1bn in financing from a syndicate of public and private lenders for a new BESS project in the UK. The value sits well above recent deals and sets a new bar for standalone storage in Europe.
- From volatility to predictability. Elsewhere, moves like Return+BESSMART and the FF Ventures/E Energy JV signal more contracts, more paid availability and deeper grid/infra integration in the storage market. If this trend persists, volatility gives way to predictability, potentially unlocking cheaper funding for the next wave of projects.
- Stable cashflows. EDP, European Energy, OX2 and RES rotated assets with steadier revenues (EEG/CfD/PPAs). The market is raising cash to build the next GWs, evidence of scale and health.
