Wind
- Finland | Fortum has agreed to acquire a 4.4 GW onshore wind development portfolio from ABO Energy for up to €70M, significantly expanding its Nordic renewables pipeline as it targets 800 MW of ready-to-build capacity by end-2026.
- Germany | Qualitas Energy has acquired three wind projects in Hesse, Rhineland-Palatinate, and Baden-Württemberg totaling 17.6 MW, with plans to repower them with eight turbines and expand capacity to 51 MW.
- Italy | Saipem and Subsea7 have signed a binding merger agreement to form Saipem7 by H2 2026, creating a €21B offshore energy group with operations spanning offshore wind, engineering, and construction, headquartered in Milan.
- Spain | Feníe Energía has acquired a 6 MW wind farm under development in Teruel, Aragon, as part of its strategy to expand clean energy capacity and grow its renewable portfolio to over 40 MW.
- United Kingdom | Foresight Environmental Infrastructure plans to divest its growth-stage renewable assets post-valuation ramp-up, reallocating capital into core income-generating assets with long-term, inflation-linked revenue streams.
- Sweden | Arise Windpower plans to divest 400–500 MW of renewable energy projects annually between 2026 and 2028, as part of a strategy to monetize its development portfolio, which is expected to reach 10 GW by the end of 2025.
- Spain | Quantum Capital Group is liquidating offshore wind developer BlueFloat Energy and finalizing the sale of its UK and Italy assets to JP Morgan’s Nadara, while also pursuing divestments in Spain, the Philippines, and Taiwan.
Solar
- Germany | SunIsUs has acquired a 200 MW solar development portfolio from Sharp, comprising six early- to late-stage projects across multiple states, as Sharp exits the European PV market and SunIsUs expands its hybrid solar-storage pipeline.
- Italy | Azerbaijan’s sovereign wealth fund SOFAZ will acquire a 49% stake in a 402 MW solar portfolio from Enfinity Global, comprising 14 operational and in-construction assets in Lazio and Emilia-Romagna, as Enfinity brings in capital to scale its Italian pipeline.
- Spain | Lumisa Energías has acquired a majority stake in Quantax Solutions, a solar installer active in Catalonia, Valencia, and Madrid, reinforcing its expansion into the self-consumption market and advancing its transition to a full-service energy provider.
- Spain | M&G has committed €60M in preferred equity to Altano Energy, a diversified renewables platform with 1.5 GW of capacity across solar, wind, hydro, and storage, to support Spain’s clean energy transition and system resiliency.
- Spain | KGAL has acquired the 60.5 MWp Gerena solar park in Andalusia from BayWa r.e. on behalf of Software AG Foundation, securing 70% of revenues via a 10-year PPA and expanding the foundation’s diversified renewables portfolio.
- Croatia | Statkraft has sold its Croatian renewable energy platform, including a 750 MW solar pipeline and local team, to Slovenia’s Resalta as part of a strategic refocus on fewer core markets.
- United Kingdom | Enviromena has acquired the 30 MW ready-to-build Steeraway solar project in Shropshire from RE Infrastructure, backed by a 15-year CfD and targeting grid connection in 2026.
- Spain | EiDF is finalizing the entry of an industrial partner as a new shareholder through a €20M capital increase, aimed at repaying its debt with Andbank and reinforcing its ownership and capital structure.
- Netherlands | Sales processes are underway for Statkraft’s solar assets and development activities in the Netherlands, while investment positions in solar, wind, and battery projects in Poland are under strategic review for potential divestment.
- France | Entech has acquired a 100 MWp portfolio of ground-mounted and agrivoltaic solar projects under development across southern and central France for €1.4M, marking its first external growth move following a recent capital raise.
- United Kingdom | Sunsave has raised €15M in Series A equity funding co-led by Norrsken VC and IPGL to expand its zero upfront solar subscription model, aiming to accelerate residential adoption across England and Wales.
Hydrogen
- Ireland | BrightHy Solutions, a Fusion Fuel subsidiary, has signed a non-binding term sheet with a green energy technology provider for a €30M partnership to invest in mid-scale hydrogen infrastructure across Europe over four years.
- Netherlands | Battolyser Systems and VDL Hydrogen Systems announce merger to develop a fully flexible, pressurized alkaline electrolyser for industrial use, with VDL Groep as manufacturing partner and equal shareholder funding.
Battery storage
- Lithuania | Trina Storage and EPC firm Stiemo have launched a partnership to deploy multi-GWh of battery storage across the Baltics, starting with three 30 MW / 60 MWh projects in Lithuania slated for delivery by mid-2026.
- Spain | Endurance Motive has acquired a 30% stake in Kenermática Solar, co-developing two 16 MW / 64 MWh stand-alone battery storage projects totaling 128 MWh, as part of a broader 800 MWh storage partnership with Kenergy.
- Germany | Altech is preparing to divest a minority stake in its CERENERGY sodium-chloride solid-state battery project in Saxony to one or two strategic investors, aiming to secure equity funding while bringing in partners aligned with the project’s long-term growth and sustainability goals.
